Finding space for art.
GASP — Goring Art Space Project
A collection of forward thinking artists.
Who We Are
GASP — Goring Art Space Project — are a collective of forward thinking artists based in and around the Goring GAP on the Oxfordshire/Berkshire border.
Our goal is to create a space and a community for artists to thrive: to showcase their work, run workshops, find more work and collectively bring forward thinking, innovative and inspirational art to the people who live, work and visit our villages.
Much of our focus is less traditional and more on forward thinking ways for people to interact with art — but we are a community with our arms open wide. Please do get in touch.
No place is too small. No idea too big.
What We Stand For
To find space for art. To promote local art groups and businesses. To champion local artists. To push innovative art practices. To inspire young artists. To collaborate with key stakeholders — from schools to local businesses.
Non-profit. Community-led.
Our Structure
We are a non-profit organisation. All proceeds go towards the upkeep and management of our spaces. Artists do not have to use our platform to sell work — we direct people to galleries or the artists' own services.
All exhibitions are curated by the GASP team. We embrace diverse perspectives — BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, and working-class creatives are actively championed here.
Contemporary and future art forms.
Our Focus
Whilst we welcome ALL art styles and artists, our particular focus is on contemporary and future art — installations, new technologies, illustration, design, video art, conceptual art, architecture, sculpture, augmented reality, sound art, motion design, 3D art, digital art and beyond.
We believe in galvanising future thinkers — not only young people, but people who are young at heart and like pushing the boundaries of what art can be.
Have space? We want to use it.
A lamppost, a telephone box, a shed, a wall, a barn, a hill — if you have somewhere that could hold art, please get in touch.
